What black Google? What do you mean, Frankey J? Well, it's not exactly my idea, but the idea from the folks over at www.treehugger.com They say that Google's white background wastes energy. About 74 watts to be precise. But a black background on Google's website would only use 59 Watts. Add that up to the 200million queries a day that Google gets, and you begin to see the picture of how much Google energy the world can save.
But don't believe me. Believe the actual website.
