The family of Big Brother housemate Emma has spoken out
about the media frenzy surrounding the decision not to tell her of
her father's death, defending the family's decision to wait until
she leaves the show.
In a letter
posted on the show's website, Emma's brother Matt appealed for
understanding and calm, and said the family was shocked by media
attention.
Her father Raymond Cornell, 53, died in Adelaide last week. His
funeral was held on Monday but producers did not tell her because
of a request from her family.
In the letter the family attacked media inaccuracies, and said
they were "confident we have made the right decision."
